Within the last few weeks there have been some significant, positive changes at Hirst and Danson and I would like to take this opportunity to write to you to explain the background to these changes and their implications, in more detail.
Hirst and Danson Electrical Contractors Limited (part of The Hirst and Danson Group Limited) has provided its clients with a high quality, reliable and cost effective installation and design service since it was founded in 1976 by Steve Danson and Kevin Hirst. In 33 successful years of trading, Hirst and Danson have grown to become a leading player in the building services sector and have developed and continue to develop, excellent, long term and mutually beneficial working relationships with our clients. It is not by accident that we continue to secure a significant level of repeat business with a large part of our client base and I firmly believe that this level of repeat business is a testament to the quality of service we have and will continue to provide to you.
We have always looked to enhance our portfolio of services and in 1996 the Directors of Hirst and Danson formed a mechanical services division trading under the name of Hirst and Danson Mechanical and Electrical Services Limited. Since its inception, Hirst and Danson Electrical and Hirst and Danson Mechanical and Electrical Services have traded as separate companies but have together promoted an M&E solution to the client where this was necessary; this ‘combined’ service resulted in benefits that were enjoyed by Hirst and Danson Electrical Contractors Limited and Hirst and Danson Mechanical and Electrical Services Limited and ultimately presented the client with what the two companies believed to be a high quality, cost effective M&E solution.
However, as you may be aware, Hirst and Danson Mechanical and Electrical Services (the mechanical services division), will now be known as ‘Ameon’ who will trade from new premises in Blackpool; this decision does not have any bearing on The Hirst and Danson Group or Hirst and Danson Electrical Contractors Limited and in no way limits or restricts the range of services that The Hirst and Danson Group are able to and will continue to provide; indeed, there are a significant number of ongoing and pending projects where Hirst and Danson and Ameon will continue to work together and Ameon will continue to be a valued partner to us on all manner of contracts.
The Hirst and Danson Group will continue to trade from its extensive head office premises in Thornton, Lancashire and will continue to offer all of our clients a full range of building services, including a full M&E design and build solution where such a service is required.
The Hirst and Danson brand has been more than a quarter of a century in the making and it is my intention and belief that it will continue to grow and develop over the next quarter of a century; it remains a central tenet of our corporate philosophy that we will continue to offer our clients an expanding range of services and that these services are delivered in a manner that instils a level of client confidence and assurance in relation to cost, quality and delivery that is unrivalled.
